OvaCure Collection Presented at European Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium in Bergen

OvaCure was proud to see The OvaCure Collection presented at the 1st European Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium (OC-INSIGHTS) held in Bergen on May 10–11, 2026.

The symposium, organized by Centre for Cancer Biomarkers CCBIO at the University of Bergen, brought together leading international experts in ovarian cancer research to discuss new approaches within early detection, precision oncology, immunology, and preclinical modelling.

At the symposium, Professor Krister Wennerb erg and Assistant Professor Wojciech Senkowski presented The OvaCure Collection — letting the talented scientists and researchers among the audience know that The OvaCure Collection is an ambitious non-profit initiative aiming to build the world’s largest collection of patient-derived high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) organoids.

The symposium focused on the theme “Improving ovarian cancer outcomes: harnessing tumor-host interactions” and featured internationally recognized speakers from across Europe and the United States. Krister Wennerberg and Assistant Professor Wojciech Senkowski were also listed among the confirmed keynote speakers for the meeting.

For OvaCure, participating in the symposium represented an important opportunity to strengthen international collaborations and highlight the growing importance of organoid-based research platforms in the development of more personalized and effective treatments for ovarian cancer.
